Solar Scales keeps your data on your device.

Normal app use

During normal use, Solar Scales does not transmit personal information, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, location data, or diagnostic information to Dayworks LLC. The app does not require an account.

Information stored on your device

The app stores preferences, bookmarks, display settings, and other app configuration locally on your device. Future versions may also store user-created musical content, such as custom scales or tunings, locally.

Support requests

If you submit a support request from the app or website, we collect your email address, selected topic, message, locale, and any name you provide. Website submissions may also include device or platform and app-version information that you choose to enter.

Support requests submitted from the app automatically include troubleshooting details that you can review before sending. Depending on the platform, these details may include the app version, operating system and version, device model, architecture or API level, whether the device is physical or an emulator, display dimensions, device pixel ratio, text scale, theme, and locale.

We use support-request information only to investigate the request, respond to you, maintain relevant support history, and protect the support service from abuse.

Website cookies and server information

When you select a website language, we store a first-party preference cookie for up to one year so the site can remember your choice. It contains only the selected language and is not used for advertising, analytics, or tracking.

The support service uses a one-way hash derived from your IP address to enforce a short submission rate limit. The IP address is not included in the support email. Like most websites, our hosting provider may separately retain standard server logs containing information such as IP address, request time, requested page, and browser type for security and operational purposes.

Sharing and third-party services

We do not sell or rent personal information. Support requests are transmitted over HTTPS and processed by our website and email hosting providers as needed to deliver and store the correspondence.

Solar Scales does not currently include advertising, analytics, social networking, or cloud-storage services. App stores may independently process purchase, installation, and diagnostic information under their own privacy policies.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect support information. However, no internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Retention and deletion

Support correspondence is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request, maintain relevant support history, and protect the service from abuse. Server logs and anti-abuse records are retained according to operational and hosting-provider practices.

You may ask Dayworks LLC to delete your support correspondence by submitting another support request. Some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

Children

Solar Scales is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through the support service, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated before app or website behavior changes in a way that materially affects data collection or handling. The revision date above identifies the current version.
